In IGI, you play as Jones, a commando. Jones infiltrates the base of a terrorist named Jack Priboi. You are tasked with capturing him and then extracting information about a stolen warhead, which poses a threat to the United States. Priboi captures him and then escapes by helicopter, but the Russians shoot down the helicopter. They capture Priboi, as well as Jones' equipment. Now, Jones must recover his equipment and then safely cross the border. During his journey, he learns of Ike's involvement. He then decides to capture Ike, the main villain of this story. When they first meet face-to-face, Ike completes her escape. But then Jones recaptures her and kills her to retrieve the warhead.
This game features simple yet engaging gameplay. There are several new weapons, such as the MP5, bazooka, Dragunov, and D-Eagle.
